We are headed in after one race - the wind died!

2023 Flying Scot NAC at Lake Norman Yacht Club qualifying day - Brian Hayes from North Sails is giving a briefing before racing on qualifying day. Not much wind so far but we can hope!

Measuring is finishing up, and Lake Norman Yacht Club is ready to go for a practice sail for those who want to get out in the lake. It's cloudy and 66° with light winds. Have fun sailors! Later on we'll have fun at the Welcome party.

The Cedar Point Yacht Club in Westport, CT is excited to be hosting the 2023 FSSA Junior North Americans on July 7-9. The class has approved a "juniors only" event and details on qualification, fees and schedule are in the NOR posted here: https://cedarpointyc.org/regatta/epbe59oB9w

Over 30 boats from 10 different states came to the 2023 Great 48 Regatta.  Temperatures were perfect with overnight lows in the 50s, highs in the low 70s, and a full moon as a bonus!  It was so pleasant at the dock Saturday morning we decided to stay there a little longer and let the wind fill in.  After a postponement ashore and a general recall, "most" competitors got in 1 long race in 4 to 6 mph winds.  The others got a chance to start the party early.

Since the Kentucky derby was running Saturday evening we celebrated with Mint Julips and watched the derby on the big screen. ...
