The Midwest District encompasses fleets in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Our active fleets are at Wilmette Harbor, Lake Carlyle, and Clinton Lake in Illinois, Lake Freeman in Indiana, Lake McBride in Iowa, Medicine Lake in Minnesota, and Ephraim, Madison, Neenah, Delevan Lake in Wisconsin and Capital City in Missouri.
Our District Governor is Jim Crabtree. The Midwest District is also home to FSSA Past President Bill Vogler.

From Facebook - This past weekend, the EYC held their 118th Ephraim Regatta. 23 boats representing 8 yacht clubs participated. 1st Place went to Peter Sobol and David Ames, 2nd Place to Ryan Malmgren and Stacey Rieu, 3rd place went to Dave Chapin and Caroline Chapin, 4th Place went to Mark Johnson and PJ Hildebrand and 5th Place went to Mike Faugust and Jennifer Ikeda-Faugust. Twenty Six boats registered for the 2023 Eqyptian Cup at Carlyle Sailing Association, with two of them coming from outside the district. The wind did not cooperate on Saturday, but on Sunday, there was plenty of wind for 3 races. The Egyptian cup went to Dave Rink and Joel Blade from Lake Norman Yacht Club. The district trophy went to Dan Moriarty and Crew from Carlyle. Full Results are here:

Carlyle Sailing Association held their multi-class Whale of a Sail Regatta on 9/17-9/18/2022. It was sunny and warm in the 80's with south winds 8-15 - sounds like a perfect weekend. The competition was spirited and the racers had fun. In the Flying Scot Fleet, former collegiate sailors Karl Schuette and crew Andy had 3 bullets on Saturday but could not attend on Sunday.
