The 2012 North American Championships were held at Carlyle Sailing Association on Lake Carlyle in Illinois.  the regatta chairperson was Jim Harris.  Race Results are attached below.

Jeff and Amy Smith Linton won the Championship Division and Frank and Marianne Gerry won the Challenger Division at the 2012 NAC, Melanie Dunham and Carrie Carpenter won the Women's NAC and Greiner and Robert Hobbs won the Junior NAC.  The winners of the FSSA special awards include:

Joan Burnside Trophy

This is given to the winner of the Women's NAC - Melanie Dunham and Carrie Carpenter, Cedar Point Yacht Club, Westport, Connectivut

Fleet 76 Trophy

This is given to the winner of the Junior NAC - Greiner and Robert Hobbs, David Island Yacht Club, Florida

Terry Schroeder Trophy

This is given for 3rd place in the Challenger Division - Melanie Dunham with husband and crew Bill Dunham, Cedar Point Yacht Club, Wesport, Connecticut

Sam Tellschow Memorial Trophy

This is given for 2nd place in the Challenger Division - Steve Shaw and Henry Picco, Lake Norman Yacht Club, Mooresville, North Carolina

Max and Mary Doolittle Trophy

This is given for 1st place in the Challenger Division - Frank and Marianne Gerry, Delavan lake Yacht Club, Wisconsin.

Ratsey and Lapthom Trophy

This is given for 4th place in the Championship Division - Allen and Katie Terhune, Annapolis Yacht Club, Maryland

GL Foster Trophy

This is given for 3rd place in the Championship Division - Kelly and Heidi Gough, Corinthian Sailing Club, Dallas, Texas

Tea Party Trophy presented by the Howard Boston Yacht Sail Company

This is given for 2nd place in the Championship Division - Rod Stieffel and Randy Santa Cruz, from Bay Waveland Yacht Club, Mississippi

Gordon K. Douglass Trophy presented in memory of Flying Scot designer, builder and 7 time NAC Champion Sandy Douglass

This is given for first place in the Championship Division - Jeff and Amy Smith Linton, Davis Island Yacht Club, Florida

The Skipper Traveling the Greatest Distance to the NAC

This was awarded to John Domagala from Bradenton, FL.

Fleet of the Year Award

This is given to the fleet that demonstrated the highest level of performance for the year - Fleet 76, Lake Massapoag Yacht Club, Sharon, Massachusetts, Fleet Captain Greg Kampf

Executive Secretary's Bowl

This is given by Executive Secretary Courtney Waldrup to a person who has demonstrated a high level of cooperation with JEE, our management company - Chalres Buffington, Deep Creek, Maryland/

Ted and Florence Glass Trophy, aka, the True Love Award

This is given for the best result with only a Wife and Husband on Board - Jeff and Amy Smith Linton from Davis Island Yacht Club in Florida.

Huron-Portage Yacht Club Fleet 20 Trophy

This is given for the best result with a woman skipper - Nancy Claypool with crew Benz Faget, from Southern Yacht Club in New Orleans, LA.

Nancy Roman Trophy

This is presented to the best sailed Challenger boat with a woman on board - Marianne Gerry, with husband and skipper, Frank Gerry, from Delavan Lake Yacht Club, Wisconsin.

Best Sailed Father – Son Boat, presented by Paul Moore, former FSSA President

This is given to the best result by a father-son team - Robert and Greiner Hobbs from David Island Yacht Club in Florida

Fleet 1 Trophy - Presented by Fleet 1 to encourage participation in the NAC

This is given to the fleet with the top 3 finishers in the NAC - Fleet 168, Davis Island Yacht Club in Florida - Jeff and Amy Smith Linton, Robert and Greiner Hobbs, and Dave and Kim Thinel

Mary Douglas Trophy

This is given for the best family sailed boat with at least one woman on board - Jeff and Amy Smith Linton from Davis Island Yacht Club in Florida

Detroit Yacht Club Cup

This is given for the best finish in a club-owned boat - Rod Stieffel and Randy Santa Cruz, from Bay Waveland Yacht Club, Mississippi

Masters Trophy presented by the Huron-Portage Yacht Club, Fleet 20

This is given foir the best finish with a skipper over 55 - John Luard from Monmouth Boat Club in New Jersey, with crew Keith Petrosemolo

Seniors Championship

This is given for the best finishes with the skipper and crew all over 60. Awards are given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
