The New England District is in the Northeast region and encompasses Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine and Rhode Island.

Our active fleets are in Rockport MA, Duxbury Bay, MA, Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield MA, Cape Cod in Harwichport, MA, and Lake Massapoag in Sharon MA, Lake Massabesic in Manchester, New Hampshire, Spofford Lake in Spofford, NH, trying to make a go of it and our newest fleet at Pleasant Bay Community Boating in Chatham, MA.

Our District Governor is Tim Mallette  from Fleet 196, at Massabesic Lake in NH, as also sails out of Rockport, MA. the New England District is the home to FSSA Chief Measurer Roger Sharp, FSSA Web Editor Diane Kampf and Scots n; Water Editor Tim Mallette

Lots of activity in the FSSA this weekend - hope you were at one of these!

  There was lots of activity in the Flying Scots class this weekend - the ACC at Fishing Bay Yacht Club in VA, the Glow in the Dark Regatta/Midwest Districts at Clinton Lake Sailing Association in IL, and the Scot-A-Hoochee/Dixie Lakes Districts at Lake Lanier Sailing Club in GA.  I am waiting for some write-ups and some pictures, Meanwhile, the results ofall thre regattas are under regatta results.

  What a difference between yesterday and today! With the Northeast wind blowing 12-14 and 2-3 foot waves, the RC went out to see what it looked like. They came back with a big thumbs up and we made our way out to the race course. The wind continued to moderate a bit during the races, but the waves stayed! 2017 Wife-Husband Championship at Sandy Bay Yacht Club, Rockport, MA - Day 1

  After Steve Ouellette led the skippers' meeting at 9AM, there was little to no wind in the harbor, so we did not go out immediately.  Teams took advantage of the goodies that were put out for a continental breakfast, then made PBandJ or Fluffernutters to take out on the boat with them.  Teddie Peanut Butter donated the peanut butter and whatever is left over after the regatta will go to a local food bank.  Unfortunately, the wind did not fill in before 11AM, so up went...
