2010 NAC / Regatta Status ?

First and foremost, let me state that the tragedy taking place in the Gulf related to the oil spill and it's environmental and economic loss is first priority; the facilitation of a sailboat regatta is rightfully so, low on the list of priorities right now. That being stated, have local authorities given any indication as to the access to bay waters for recreation if this situation continues to deteriorate and if access is restricted, is there consideration being given by regatta organizers to an alternative venue. Unfortunately, the six week window is closing in for cancellation of housing deposits without a penalty and it seems that local realtors are unwilling to amend their refund policies at this time. Let's all pray for a timely end to this devastating event, with as little impact as could be reasonably expected for such a disaster.
