Flying Scot Fleet 133 welcomes our special guests to our Grande Maumelle Labor Day Regatta - our very own Flying Scot First VP, Nina Cummings) Flying Scot Women’s Challenger National Champion (2024) - Skipper and husband Robert Cummings (National Champion 2024 -Skipper 2024 of Flying Scot Wife/Husband) - they have been invited to compete in the US Champion or Champions in October on a Yflyer- so they thought they would give it a try and won the regatta at our club for the Yflyer! 2024 Wife-Husband Sailors are welcome to attend the Scot-A-Hoochee Regatta at Lake Lanier Sailing Club one week before the Wife-Husband Championship at Atlanta Yacht Club. We currently have 9 registrants and are expecting around 15-20 total. Wife-Husband sailors are welcome to store their boats at Lake Lanier Sailing Club between the two weekends. We also have about 15 tent/van campsites (non-powered) and a few powered RV spots.

Last years Flying Scot Atlantic Coast Championship was scrubbed due to a hurricane off the coast of New Jersey. This years weather was the perfect opposite. High temps on Saturday of 82 degrees, winds 10 to 14, and light cloud cover made for an almost perfect day on the water. The RC was had mulitple fleets to manage with an "inner/short" course and an "outer/long" course. They even had the, sometimes challenging, dogleg finish line.
