I own hull number 3056. I am not the original owner so I do not know how old the mast is, or whether it’s original. My concern is abrasion at the tang on the mast that connects to the forestay and the jib halyard block. I am  unable to figure ont how to attach a photo so you can see exactly what I’m talking about. I have been able to look at multiple Scots in our area. Some are older, some newer, and some have worse etching, and some have less, but they all have the same condition. I am writing today to see if anybody else who has a encountered this has done anything to address it, and what that was. My boat is loose rigged. it is the only loose rigged, Scott at our club , so I don’t think that the tension is the issue. None of the boats are kept on a mooring they’re all on trailers.
