Insurance question

What kind of insurance do you have for your boat? do you have excess liability? Umbrella Pollicy? what do you think a reasonable liabilty limit would be?

Hi Chilidog, My homeowner's policy and auto policy did not provide adequate coverage for me. I wanted some liability insurance along with uninsured boater coverage. My auto insurance only covered the trailer while it was attached to my vehicle - there was no coverage for my Scot while it was being towed. I got several quotes and went with US Sailing sponsor's One-Design Insurance Program (1-800-262-8911). I think their rates are reasonable. Hope this helps. Andy FS4957

I have mine from Boat US and it was reasonable. They have a trailering adder that is a good value. It was recommended to me by some of the more experienced Scot sailors in our fleet. Phil Phil Scheetz FS 4086
