another proud new owner

Hello everyone! I'm a new member and the proud owner of a brand new Flying Scot (5890). My family and I will sail her primarily on Deep Creek lake but we'll also take her with us on vacation to the finger lakes in New York each summer. My wife and I both sailed small boats as children (she a Sunfish and I a Snark) but hadn't sailed as adults until last summer. We sailed a Sunfish last summer and enjoyed it so much that we decided to buy a boat that our whole family could ride in. We did some research and decided on a Scot since it seemed to be safe, roomy, easy to trailer, and fun to sail. Now we're anxiously awaiting the spring so we can step the mast and sail! If you happen to sail on Deep Creek or Keuka lakes we look forward to seeing you on the water!

Welcome to the FS family. Are you plugged into the Deep Creek Yacht Racing Association and Fleet 6 at DCL? Deep Creek also has adult sailing classes in Flying Scots for all sailing abilities. And there are discounts if you bring your own Scot. Great way to shake off the winter cobwebs! Andy FS 4957
