Another reason to sail flat
This weekend we got T-boned at the start (he did turns) of the second race at the Boathouse Regatta. The other boat was bearing away and *almost* made the turn...nailing us 4" from the transom on the starboard side. They were really powered up and our boat shuddered pretty badly but fortunately it was stem on rail so we just have another dent in the rail...the other guy apparently put a little bend in his stem plate. I shudder to think what new fiberglass work I would have had if we'd been heeled over!
