Try contacting the sailmaker. This is a North Sails jib? Usually there will be some subtle differences in the luff curve and roach between the various jib cuts (loose, snug, tight). -Michael http://www.FlyingScotSouth.com Michael Mittman FS# 5804, Fleet 23 Corinthian Sailing Club White Rock Lake Dallas, TX

Great question! In order to set-up the rig correctly, you must first know what type Jib and corresponding rig you have, Loose, Snug, or tight. Simply measure across the Jib's top batten, this measurement is approximate, give or take a inch or two. Loose=approx 35inches, Snug= approx 38inches, Tight=approx 40 inches.
