New Sails

If sails are made by a loft that is not listed on this web site...how can the sails be measured in and tagged as class legal.

Anyone can make legal sails. You can make your own sails in your basement if you want to, just follow the plans and buy a royalty from the FSSA. They will be measured at Midwinters and NACs.

That's correct-a-mundo! Anybody can make Flying Scot sails so long as they are of legal material (Dacron), correct weight cloth, and measure in to the FSSA sail template. All the sail makers that regularly work with the Scot fleets around the country and FSSA build very good sails (North, Schurr, MAD, Quantum, etc). We have been sailing with Gus Sails for years around here ...and winning.
