P.I.T boat # 2007
Hello All, I have been considering the purchase of boat # 2007. It was built in 1971 by a licensed boat builder P.I.T. Can anyone tell me what that means?
Other than a few times as a young man, I am new to sailing...have been a powerboater all of my life, and windsurfing for the last 2 years.
I live in Duluth, MN and want to sail on St Louis Bay. Maybe stick my nose out into the "big lake" when the weather is right.

WOW! VERY INTERISTING!! This is bewildering to me! I own and sa
But to answer your initial question, P.I.T. was a company in Kansas that built Flying Scotts for a short period of time, and only produced a few boats. The boat # is the production # or in this case the 2007th boat made. My boat FS2007, is built well and is super fast.(I don't know about the mystery 2007 boat you are looking at)
FS5257 is talking trash! I would bet that he/she has never seen a P.I.T. boat, and has no clue of the quality construction and awsome weight of the boat. If you ever get a chance to get a P.I.T. boat, GET IT! They're great!
Contact Harry Carpenter, he knows the boats better than anyone.
I am sorry to alarm you.
Best of luck with your new boat - maybe you cn bring it and sail
