St. Pete Yacht Club Sailing Center may be in trouble, New baseball stadium= new parking lot. The city owns the land the center sits on, and leases it to the SPYC.... if the 'Rays go ahead with their new waterfront stadium plan, the sailing center runs a risk of being lost. more rumors: http://forums.sailinganarchy.com/index.php?showtopic=73793

[}:)] This rumor is true; however, there is a major effort underway spearheaded by the SPYC to prevent this from happening. If you want to 'get involved', the SPYC can provide person's names that they recognize as key decision makers in this and would appreciate a call or letter to voice your position. Clearly, this is a bad thing if allowed to move forward.
