What line for cascading vang?

I'm going to install the cascading vang described elsewhere on the forum. What size and type of line do you use with this setup? Thanks, dave boling Huntsville, AL FS3431

There is a good picture on one of the Scot sites. I forgot which but maybe someone could help or do a search. I used 1/8" amsteel or equivalent for the cascade and 1/4" for the handling part. Works really smooth.

I used 3/16 amsteel for the cascade (a bit easier to splice in the larger diameter) and 5/16 Marstran (same as my mainsheet)for the handling part. The 5/16 is used because it is easier to handle than the thinner stuff.
