Flying Scot vs Lightning

I am new to sailing, only 6 months. I own a FS, but have only been able to sail it twice before the season ended. I want to know how the FS compares to a Lightning. I know they are both 19 feet long, and the FS is 150lbs heavier, but what else is important. How do they compare is speed, ease to rig,ease to single hand, etc. Let me know what you think. Both are sailed at our club, but the FS enjoy a 3:1 advanage.
