Welcome to the Scot.

Welcome to the Scot. I think North has a fall special if you are interested in new sails. I bought a new snug rig jib and a North Main this spring and I am happy with them. Greg Fisher is very helpful and you can contact him through North's One Design website. Phil Scheetz FS 4086

Hey, many years ago, I use to play golf at Chick Evans (when it wasn't flooded) which is right next to Golf, IL. It is the smallest community/suburb (of Chicago) that you will ever see. It is basically a small neighborhood tucked in between Skokie and Niles off of Golf Rd. The one thing that everyone knows about Golf is - do NOT speed. [}:)] The community has no other income.

Transom, Yes you are correct on all items . 150 houses and 12 policemen ! And yes the speed limit IS 20 MPH . Smooth sailing to all . John #4411

Joe, We received the Spinnaker and it looks great . I have ordered new numbers from Flying Scot , and they should be here in a few days . By the way , how does one remove and change numbers on a Spinnaker? John & Holly Welch Fleet # 3 Wilmette IL

Hi John, Glad you like the spinnaker.

Hi John, Glad you like the spinnaker. The best way that Greg Fisher told me, to remove numbers is to heat them just to the point that you can pull them away from the cloth is by heating the numbers with a hair dryer. Be careful and don't get too close with the hot end of the dryer, spinnaker cloth melts easy. You might try peeling them off by hand, sometimes the numbers don't stick all that well and can be just peeled off, if they are stuck on good, try the hair dryer. Now you will probably have some adhesive left on the cloth. If you have a Lowe's hardware in the area, they sell a product call G00-Gone, it will remove the left over adhesive, smell OK and will not damage the cloth. It may take several applications but it does work. Had the telephone interview last week, they said it was snowing in Evanston, Il. Working on a spinnaker on a snow day is a good way to pass the time away. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance with the sail, and thanks for purchasing it, you got a good one, a lot of sailing life left in that spinnaker. Joe FS# 5628 (DRAGON)
