Scotalina TuTu / Gulf Dist Championships 10/7-8
Dixie Sailing Club on Lake Martin, Alabama, will host the 2006 Gulf District Championships as a part of its annual Scotalina TuTu Regatta the weekend of October 7th and 8th.
Also, this year will mark the finale' of the inaugral Dixie Scot Challenge series of Flying Scot racing between Dixie Sailing Club (DSC), Muscle Shoals Sailing Club (MSSC) and Chattanooga's Privateer Yacht Club (PYC). All FS sailors from anywhere are welcome and encouraged to attend, however.
We plan five races overall, a rigging party on Fiday afternoon, some "rabbit racing" on Friday afternoon for warm-ups, three races on Saturday, a lasagna dinner with fixins' and a live band Saturday evening, two races on Sunday morning and lots of awards.
Also, our regatta is being sponsored by Mauri Pro Sailing and each entrant will receive a gift certificate (with winners getting larger gift certificates!) for sailing equipment from Mauri Pro.
