Gus or North?

I recently acquired Scot #820 and am looking for a new mainsail.......Iam thinking about a Gus or a North.......Any comments about either of these sailmakers?.........I hope to race in the near future

There is some good info on sails in the Racers Rap section. I see more North's than anything at races, and people seem to like them. There arfe three North jibs, based on how you want to rig your boat. I think the snug jib is the newest design.

If you want your sails for the 2006 season, I would go with North. I ordered a full suit from Gus over a year ago after winning the 1/2 off drawing prize at the '04 Wife-Husband Nationals. and have not yet received the spinnaker . Received the main months after it was promised and after the '05 sailing season had ended. Sending them a message via their e-mail is like sending a letter to the Post Office dead letter box. Jack F.
