RC Program - FREE

I have created a MS Excel program to aid in RC duty. It performs many of the tedious tasks of RC. I would like some people to look at it and give me feedback. Here is what is does: RC needs only to record the boat#'s in the order of finish. The program then splits the boats into fleet standings. The program also performs tiebreaker based upon the following logic: Best finish then if all finishs are the same, the final race. The file includes the forms to be printed out for use on the RC boat. The fleet standings are also preformatted to print on one page. The best free RC program I've seen is Sailwave. Again, all you need is a list of sail numbers in finish order, but it also does handicap scoring as well. Look at www.sailwave.com

But it is not FREE. It is shareware. After a trial period, it will not no longer work, unless you pay. To me.. free is free...

The sailwave web site says, "Sailwave is FREE but dependent on donations". I cna verify that the copy you download will not stop working whether or not you pay. In fact, there isn't even any kind of "activation" technology in the program so users who have paid are no different from users who haven't paid. Some time ago sailwave called itself shareware, but even then it had no enforcement beyond a nag screen. But I have to admit, sailwave is probably overkill if all you need is one-design scoring.
