2009 FSSA Master's Championship

The weather was bright sunshine 50's
in the morning and warming into the hi 70's. Winds were 12-15
with gusts in the hi teens out of the NE. Race 1 was WL2 with 1
mile legs. Race 2 & 3 were W2 1/2 also with 1 mile legs. Some
exciting finishes as boats were coming on and off plane. Lots of
BIG shifts with very unstable air, though we stayed at 020 deg
for both races. On Sunday, the winds dropped a knot or two and
clocked around to 060 at the start and then shifting to 090
degrees. That opened the fetch from 1+ miles to over 10 and the
waves got bigger. More planning even with the three crew boats.
