Talk It Up

The purpose of the FLYING-SCOT emailing list is to create an open dialogue for Flying Scot sailors. You can exchange thoughts, ask advice, give tips, or do anything else related to Scot sailing. Your email will go to everyone on the list. But please do not clutter up the internet with irrelevant or redundant traffic. We want to use the list solely for things directly related to Flying Scots and its sailors. The instructions for joining the list are as follows:

Managing your subscription to the Flying Scot list server, is easily done using the list server web

To use the list server web interface you must first get a password.  Go to http://listserv.wvnet.edu
Select "Subscriber's Corner".  You will be prompted to fill out a password application.  (As always, write down the password.)

After completing the password application, you will receive a an email from the list server. The message instructs you to follow a web link which, since it comes from your email id, confirms you are who you say you are.

Once validated, the password is stored as a "cookie" on your pc.  On Subsequent visits to the "Subscriber's Corner", you will not be prompted for your password, unless you move to another pc, or your browser's "cookies" are "crunched".

Use the "Subscriber's Corner" to manage how the list server handles your subscription to FLYING-SCOT.
