Florida District Championship

In only six short weeks the 2008-09 Florida District Championship will begin at the coconut Grove Sailing Club in Miami. Last season we had several skippers and crews from outside Florida attend some or even most of our regattas. We hope that trend continues this season so mark your calendar for October 4 & 5, 2008. In case you need an incentive, the Miami regatta is FREE!

The racing will continue throughout the winter with a regatta each month ending in Tampa at the Midwinter warm-up. To view the season schedule click here. Look for the Notice of Race to be added to the schedule at least 30 days in advance of each regatta.

The regattas are all Saturday/Sunday events with 5 or 6 races scheduled. Awards are typically given to the top 3, 4 or 5 finishers and out of state skippers are eligible to receive them.

Go ahead and plan a winter get away to Florida and do a great regatta while you’re here!

Massapoag Regatta - Sept 6-7, 2008

Massapoag Yacht Club in Sharon, MA, is holding our 59th Annual Regatta on Sept 6-7, 2008. We start with a welcome party on Friday evening, with some good food and drink at no extra charge. All are welcome. It's a multiclass regatta, and we typically get a good crop of Flying Scots in the mix. On our lake, we don't get current of big waves, but we do get varied winds, and at this time of year we usually get good wind. Actually, we have had a bumper crop of wind this year. Please come on up and join us - for more information see our Club website at
