Florida District #43

The Florida District emcompases most of the fleets in the state of Florida.  Active fleets include Sarasota Sailing Squadron in Sarasota, Coconut Grove Sailing Center in Miami, Rudder Club of Jacksonville, Lake Eustis Sailing Club in Central, Davis Island Yacht in Clearwater, St.Lucie Sailing Club in Stuart,, Melbourne Yacht Club in Melbourne  and Charlotte harbor Yacht Club in Port Charlotte.  The District Governor is Dave Thinel.  The Florida District is also home to FSSA Treasurer-Secretary John Domagala.

Fl District Standings

  We are 5 races into a 6 race season and we have a winner; Paul Abdullah!  Congratulations to Paul and his crew who won the Lake Eustis regatta, after also winning in Jacksonville and Tampa.  You may know that Paul is a champion in the Thistle class and he seems to be having no trouble adapting to another Sandy Douglas design. Very impressive sailing!
