Riverton NJ Yacht Club forms new FS fleet

We are starting a new Scot  fleet at Riverton Yacht Club in New Jersey on the Delaware River across from Philadelphia. Currently we have 3 boats and a lot of interest. We race every Weds night starting at 6 from the end of April until Labor Day plus Sundays. Scots will join our existing one-design fleets of lightnings, mariners and J-22s plus our PHRF fleet. We also race Lasers and 420s Monday nights and remote control boats on Tuesdays. On any given Wednesday we have 40-50+ boats on the river racing, after which we have our famous weekly surf and turf dinner (hot dogs and river shrimp aka cheese curls) washed down with the finest(?) beer on the pier. Riverton YC was founded in 1865, is an active club dedicated to racing sailboats and is located on a pier in the River which was once an old ferry terminal, just north of the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge. It has an illustrious history, longtime home to the Lippincott Boatworks. if you live in or around Philadelphia and southern jersey and are looking for a home for your Scot check out the RYC website or contact me at brucenich@hotmail.com

Congrats on new fleet

Maybe we will have to get some NSC boats to come down.  Did you trade in your Lightning?
