Caveat Emptor:  Let the buyer beware:Here are some things that are not what you would expect on a $10,000 Flying Scot, which this is not:  The boat was raced quite a bit before I got it, and had been in two non-structural “T-Bone” collisions on the water, both showing on the starboard bow rail.  These have been repaired, but you can still see them.   The topside has numerous fine spider cracks, but these look like superficial blemishes and do not appear to be structural.    The hull has some fine spider cracks and those in the front 1/3 portion have been filled and buffed with 800 grit.  There was some previous rubbing of the keel that was repaired with new Gelcoat. Hull passes my tapping test.  The gasket is whole, but could use to be replaced as it is 10 years old now.  The stern was punctured by the boom crutch two years ago.  A small section of the balsa core was replaced.  All balsa of the hull was checked and found to be “bone dry”  Repair was epoxy covered with gelcoat.
