The Glimmerglass Regatta is held annually in mid-September (9/13-9/14 this year). The Regatta draws sailors from New York State as well as much of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. The event is primarily attended by Thistles, Flying Scots, and Buccaneers, though additional classes are always welcome.

Numerous hotels are located nearby, but many sailors choose to use our tent camping facilities for the weekend, often bringing their families to enjoy the many options for recreation in the Cooperstown area.

Most boats arrive Friday evening to register and unwind in preparation for a full weekend of sailing, but ample time is allowed Saturday morning for arrival and pre-race chores. After racing on Saturday, guests enjoy a substantial hors d’oeuvre table and a full dinner and dessert. The day ends with socializing around the bonfire.
