2017 Sail for the Grail Regatta

Moraine Sailing Club is hosting the 2017 Sail for the Grail Regatta on the beautiful, serene Lake Arthur in Pennsylvania’s Moraine State Park located just north of Pittsburgh on I-79. September 16th and 17th. With a 20HP limit, and beautiful tree lined shores, you will appreciate the peacefulness of Lake Arthur. The dry slips and ramps are located at Watts Bay on the North Shore of the lake. Saturday will be three around the marks races, but on Sunday we will run the Bridge to Bridge race to showcase Lake Arthur. This is a challenging race since the shifty narrows at the eastern end of the lake will make it anyone’s race to win. Breakfast and lunch will be provided at Watts Bay, and Saturday’s dinner will be catered at the Red Rock Falls Restaurant in Slippery Rock, PA. Please find the Notice of Race (NOR) and Sailing Instructions (SI) by clicking HERE . The registration form is appended to the NOR. Please note the Challengers division will be available if there are 5 boats registered for the division, and will be non-spinnaker to encourage newer sailors to participate. If you have any questions, please email me at mbenner48@gmail.com, or call at 412-605-2537

Also consider leaving your boats at Watts Bay for the following three weekends FALL SERIES on September 23rd and 30th, and October 7th.

Looking forward to seeing you at the GRAIL!!
